I've decided on a digital camera! (Finally!)

Nikon Coolpix 2500

It has everything I need but more importantly, doesn't have a bunch of stuff that I don't need. It's a good value for the money, highly rated by consumer reports and very easy to take anywhere and to download images from (via USB), plus a rechargeable battery. Plus it's fairly inexpensive.

Accessories that I'll need to buy include an additional battery and a larger memory card or two, and that's it!

The whole package should be roughly $400 (with extra battery and memory card).

Today I have my 32 week OB appointment and get to have more sono pics. YEA!

We're also going to go over my birth plan. Last night, we watched a tape of A Baby Story and in one of the episodes, the father "caught" the baby. John wants to do that - so I added to the birth plan. I'm very happy about that.

I have a cold. I hate colds. My nose is stuffy and I had a sore throat for a couple days leading up to it.

The Charleston Swap Meet is this weekend. I hope we sell some stuff for some good prices. We could use the money.

I get to have another sonogram on Oct 17. For that, I'm really excited and looking forward to it.

Next Tuesday is Hud's birthday and I have no idea what I'm doing for him.

Heather hasn't been moving around as much, but I just read today that it's because there's less room, so that's normal. Been having a lot of round ligament pain (pain near my upper/inner thigh/groin). Had once what I might consider a Braxton-Hicks contraction, but nothing since. Still hovering about the same weight (280 range). Would like to get a better handle on my eating so that it stays at 280 and doesn't creep up.

Oh! I also had one night of edema. It was Friday, Oct 4. After dinner (and lots of caffeinated sodas that day), John and I went driving around looking at his job stuff. I didn't move the whole time - almost three hours. By the time we got home at 11:30, when I went inside and took off my shoes, I was shocked! My ankles and feet were huge! The next day, I really pumped the water and stayed really low carb. I lost something close to five pounds that day.

I need to keep the carbs low so that doesn't happen again.

Today was pretty bad though - I pretty much carbed-out. Pop-tarts and a Dolly Madison pie for mid morning... Pizza thing (strombolie) for lunch, and then cookies and a donut in the afternoon. There was a pot luck here and I kind of grazed on the goodies after lunch. I need to quit!

At lunch though, I met Mom and Charlotte at Lincoln Square Mall and got some crocheted Mary Jane's to decorate the room. They are so cute!!!! The place where we got them is where I first saw "Toy Treasures" and inspired the nursery.

Maybe I haven't mentioned that... Mom is sewing all of the nursery stuff from this Toy Treasures fabric by Daisy Kingdom. It's very cute. She's also sewing cloth diapers as I plan to use cloth.

I need to call about classes at the hospital. I also need to schedule a time to tour and do all the preregistration stuff.

Oh - and I have my birth plan done. I get to take it in to Trupin's next appointment and go over it. So, that should be fun.

Guess that's it for now.. This was a long one, wasn't it.
